1″ Pleated Filter

MERV 8 general purpose pleated air filters provide between 50% and 70% efficiency for filtering particles between 3 and 10 microns in size (such as mold spores, dusting aids, and cement dust). They also provide 20% or less efficiency for filtering particles between 1 and 3 microns in size (such as legionella, lead dust, humidifier dust, coal dust, and nebulizer droplets). They capture contaminants more efficiently than MERV 7 pleated air filters.

4″ Box Filter

MERV 10 general purpose pleated air filters provide between 75% and 80% efficiency for filtering particles between 3 and 10 microns in size (such as mold spores, dusting aids, and cement dust). They also provide between 35% and 50% efficiency for filtering particles between 1 and 3 microns in size (such as legionella, lead dust, humidifier dust, coal dust, and nebulizer droplets). They capture contaminants more efficiently than MERV 8 pleated air filters.

4″ Box Filter

MERV 11 general purpose pleated air filters provide between 80% and 85% efficiency for filtering particles between 3 and 10 microns in size (such as mold spores, dusting aids, and cement dust). They also provide between 50% and 65% efficiency for filtering particles between 1 and 3 microns in size (such as legionella, lead dust, humidifier dust, coal dust, and nebulizer droplets) and less than 20% efficiency for filtering particles between 0.30 and 1 micron in size (such as bacteria, most smoke, sneeze nuclei, insecticide dust, copier toner, and face powder). They capture contaminants more efficiently than MERV 10 pleated air filters.

4″ Box Filter

MERV 12 allergen-reduction pleated air filters remove most common allergens from the air stream, including pet dander, microbes, mold, and bacteria. MERV 12 pleated air filters provide between 85% and 90% efficiency for filtering particles between 3 and 10 microns in size (such as mold spores, dusting aids, and cement dust). They also provide between 65% and 80% efficiency for filtering particles between 1 and 3 microns in size (such as legionella, lead dust, humidifier dust, coal dust, and nebulizer droplets) and between 20% and 35% efficiency for filtering particles between 0.30 and 1 micron in size (such as bacteria, most smoke, sneeze nuclei, insecticide dust, copier toner, and face powder). They capture contaminants more efficiently than MERV 11 pleated air filters.

4″ Box Filter

MERV 13 LEED pleated air filters are designed to meet the air-filtration efficiency criteria required for earning points toward LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building certification. MERV 13 air filters provide close to 90% efficiency for filtering particles between 3 and 10 microns in size (such as mold spores, dusting aids, and cement dust). They also provide between 80% and 85% efficiency for filtering particles between 1 and 3 microns in size (such as legionella, lead dust, humidifier dust, coal dust, and nebulizer droplets) and between 35% and 50% efficiency for filtering particles between 0.30 and 1 micron in size (such as bacteria, most smoke, sneeze nuclei, insecticide dust, copier toner, and face powder). They capture contaminants more efficiently than MERV 12 pleated air filters.
